SFP Module
SFP Modul – “Small Form-Factor Pluggable” oder auch “Mini GBIC” (Gigabit Interface Converter), ist ein hot-plugfähiges optisches Transceiver-Modul, das sowohl für Telekommunikations- als auch für Datenkommunikationsanwendungen eingesetzt wird. Sein SFP-Port akzeptiert sowohl optische Module als auch Kupferkabel. Das SFP-Modulen unterstützen ausserdem Gigabit Ethernet, SONET, Fibre Channel und andere Kommunikationsstandards.
