Thermal Cameras

Thermal cameras can basically be used for two purposes in the security field:

On the one hand, for the detection of persons or objects in very poorly lit areas. Here, the working ranges of the cameras are about -20°C – 150°C and have a detection tolerance of about +/- 8°C. For thermal images there are also different available resolutions from 160x120p to 384x288p. The predominant design of thermal cameras is the bullet camera, furthermore combinations of classic optical cameras in combination with thermal cameras are available. However, the thermal resolution of dome cameras is usually lower than that of bullet cameras. The optical resolution is less affected by the design.

On the other hand, thermal cameras are used for the detection of ill persons. The working as well as the tolerance range is accordingly adapted to the requirements and lies between 30°C and 45°C with a detection of about +/- 0,5°C. Mobile portable cameras are also in the portfolio for this application.
